Yesterday, the House Energy and Commerce Committee approved the Special Needs Trust Fairness Act (H.R. 670) as part of a small legislative package to improve Medicaid! ACT REVISING CONNECTICUT UNIFORM POWER OF ATTORNEY ACT GOES TO GOVERNOR FOR SIGNATURE

In a May 10, 2016, decision, Pikula v. the Department of Social Services, the Connecticut Supreme Court concluded the language in a testamentary trust created a discretionary supplemental needs trust, despite use of the terms “support and maintenance.” For the full text of the decision click here.
