CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES PUBLISHES PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE UPM

The Connecticut Department of Social Services again published proposed changes to the Uniform Policy Manual based upon the mandates of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005.  The proposed changes can be found here.  Both CT NAELA and the CBA Elder Law Section submitted comments to the proposed changes both in writing and in a hearing held before Dan Butler of DSS on Wednesday November 12, 2014.  The comment period officially closed on November 9, 2014.  CT NAELA’s comments can be found here.  The CBA Elder Law Section comments can be found here.  The text of the DRA of 2005 can be found here.
